Katherine Olson



Katie is an Associate at Cochrane Saxberg, practicing primarily in the areas of Labour and Employment, Civil Litigation and Indigenous law.

Katie’s provides legal advice to federally and provincially regulated Employers and Unions on a variety of matters, including discipline and terminations, workplace safety and health matters, workplace policies, employment contracts, collective agreement interpretation, and human rights issues.

Katie also acts alongside Kris Saxberg and Shawn Scarcello on behalf of many Indigenous organizations, including First Nations CFS Agencies, advocacy groups, and political organizations, who successfully argued a case which struck down provincial legislation which wrongfully claimed Children’s Special Allowances (“CSA”) benefits from off-reserve indigenous children living in care.
