Matt joined Cochrane Saxberg as an articling student in June 2023, following his graduation from the University of Manitoba’s Robson Hall Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, in 2020 Matt completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of Manitoba with a major in Biology and minor in Psychology.
During his time at law school, he volunteered at the Legal Help Centre, Welcome Place, and the Main Street Project through Pro Bono Students Canada. Matt was an active member of the Robson Hall Community, serving as as Co-Chair of the Professional Development Committee (2022-2023), in multiple roles on Robson Hall’s Environmental Law Group (2020-2023), and was the representative for the Manitoba Law Students Association on the University of Manitoba Students’ Union Board of Directors (2021-2022).
Outside of the office, Matt enjoys spending time in Lac du Bonnet, travelling, and playing/watching sports like hockey, curling and dodgeball
